The Geologic structures in action kit brings earth science to life through interactive modeling of rock deformation and tectonic activity. Students use the fold model to explore how layers of rock bend to form anticlines and synclines.  Students  physically manipulate the realistic, color-coded fault models to simulate the three major types of faults. This kit helps students construct evidence-based explanations of how earth’s surface changes over time.
