Accurate Models Without Vertical Exaggeration

Realistic patterns of landforms and geologic processes from the past help students build detailed models to demonstrate the history of the Earth and evolution of life on this planet. Many of the 32 models are created without vertical exaggeration or distortion, so students can clearly visualize and understand the actual size of the landforms being studied. Using the printed patterns, students assemble to scale models of volcanic outgassing, formation of the Earth and moon, relative and absolute dating, correlations activity, ordering of geologic events, amphibian evolution, Ordovician marine environment, and much more. The set of patterns is comb bound and can be used as a copymaster to produce enough for your entire class or you can enlarge the patterns to use as demonstration models.

NOTE: Models do not come preassembled. Students and educators are meant to use the patterns and instructions in the booklet to construct the models for educational purposes. Constructed models can then be used as a permanent classroom display.
