The unique plastic form allows you to assemble the model and then twist it into a double helix, instead of building it around a center post as in other models. Each of the four nitrogenous bases comes in a different unlabeled color, so your students can design their own base pair coding. The model is removable from the plastic base and can be extended to its full length to demonstrate strand separation. Size collapsed: 6" dia. x 9"H; extended: 35"H.
