The NAR-3T has been developed to give improved measurement accuracy and ease of use through an advanced optical system, larger scale, high-intensity lamp, and double control knob. And for the measurement of materials with a high refractive index, model NAR-4T is available.

NAR-1T LIQUID and NAR-1T SOLID designs has been developed for the measurement of liquid and solid samples respectively. And NAR-2T designed for use with compounds which require measurement at high temperatures.

They are designed to give refractive indices of the D line of solids and liquids without using a sodium lamp.
