The StainTray™ slide staining system is a lightweight, user-friendly device designed to suit a wide variety of laboratory applications
The system has a black base constructed of durable ABS plastic. Four rubber feet ensure base stability and allow for stackable, space-saving storage. The staining chamber will accept 10, 20, or 30 slides on four plastic rails covered with a polymer strip. The slides are securely fitted and held intact even if the tray is handled at an angle. The chamber’s contents are thoroughly secure and manipulation is easily conducted with one hand.
When humidity is needed, wells between rails will hold water securely without splashing. Rails are raised to prevent water from coming into contact with slides and to ensure that slides are easily retrievable. The base will also hold excess stain solution dripping from the slides. A drain plug can be removed to facilitate emptying of StainTray™ system.
Two covers are available for use with the system. The clear lid allows for visual examination. Clear lids are made of PETG and can be used within a temperature range of –20 to 60°C (–4 to 140°F). The black lid is designed for use in fluorescent work. Black lids are made of ABS plastic and can be used within a temperature range of –80 to 80°C (–112 to 176°F).
It is versatile enough to accommodate routine staining requiring a humidity chamber, as well as hematology, cytology, and microbiology applications.
