Jones Type Sample Splitter

Used for ASTM C136, D421, D271, D492 methods for rapid, even splitting of samples of aggregates, cement, road material, and other dry materials.

Sample material poured into the main hopper unit is divided by six riffles into two equal parts by a series of chutes that discharge in opposite directions into two receiving pans. By repeating the operation with reduced sample, the sample can be “cut down” to quarters, eighths, etc.
