The Trichomonas Rapid Test is an immunochromatographic assay designed to detect Trichomonas Vaginalis antigens directly from vaginal swabs, so a speculum may not be required
Control kit (sold separately) includes additional controls for the trichomonas test.
Detects the antigen, removing the uncertainty with live organism instability. Sensitivity is 83% versus culture. Studies show wet mount sensitivity is <60%. Kits should be stored at room temperature to maintain a 16-month shelf life.
