The locking retractable shield provides protection for clinicians without compromising procedure handling, technique, or reliability. The top activation button allows users to retract the protective shield easily and safely with one hand and focus on the procedure rather than the instrument. The transparent protective shield locks into an open or closed position and can be confirmed through an audible click and tactile sensation. Scalpels feature a stainless steel blade and an autoclavable green plastic handle with centimeter scale. Scalpel 89176-396 has a size 3L long handle.
