About this item
Designed for multiple arsenic determinations, this Air-Tite arsine generator is supplied with scrubber, absorber tube, and 125mL Erlenmeyer flask.
- Borosilicate glass
A sample containing arsenic is placed within the flask and converted to arsine gas. Hydrogen sulfide is removed from the sample as the gas is generated by packing the scrubber cavity with lead impregnated glass wool. The absorber tube containing the diethyldithiocarbamate reagent absorbs the arsine gas and forms a red complex. The product is transferred to a cuvet which is read on a colorimeter or spectrometer.
Ordering information: The complete system includes a 125mL flask, empty scrubber, empty absorber tube, and two sizes of plastic clamps (LG-1004-100 and LG-4600-108). Replacement parts are available separately. Lead-impregnated glass wool and diethyldithiocarbamate reagent must be purchased separately. Contact your Avantor representatives for more information.
