• Presence of total coliforms is indicated by a blue-green color of the broth
• Presence of E. coli is indicated by a blue fluorescence under UV light

Dehydrated and granulated culture media in an irradiated snap pack format is added to the water sample and incubated for 24 hours at 34.5 to 37 °C (94.1 to 98.6 °F).

Sample bottles are sterile and are available with or without sodium thiosulfate dechlorinating agent.
