This 'whodunit' cold case has an attention-grabbing environmental slant. Students analyze macroinvertebrate species, hair samples, glass samples, lip prints, DNA data, and other assorted clues as they try to deduce the mysteries surrounding the case of crystal creek. The cross-curricular kit even engages middle school students in an engineering project with design modifications. Kit includes activity materials. Teacher's manual, student worksheets, fake Facebook® pages, suspect videos, and answer keys are available for a free one-time download using a QR code.
