The Multivariate Concentric Square Field test (MCSF) is a novel behavior model for investigation of risk assessment, anxiety, and shelter seeking behavior in rodents.
- Non-reflective acrylic surfaces
- Easy to clean
The MCSF was originally described in the literature by Meyerson et al., 2006, for rats and later adopted by Ekmark-Lewen for mice. The behavioral model provides several areas for the animal to explore by free choice, including sheltered, open, and elevated areas.
The MCSF mouse model features a 72×72 cm open field area, with a 42×42 cm central chamber. The MCSF rat model features a 95×95 cm open field area, with a 55×55 cm central chamber.
