PTS Panels Cholesterol test strips are for professional use with CardioChek PA and CardioChek Plus analyzers to measure total cholesterol in venous whole blood or capillary fingerstick blood.
Cholesterol measurements are used in the diagnosis and treatments of disorders involving excess cholesterol in the blood and lipid and lipoprotein metabolism disorders. Lipoprotein measurements are used in the diagnosis and treatment of lipid disorders (such as diabetes mellitus), atherosclerosis, and various liver and renal diseases.
This test system will detect cholesterol levels from 100 to 400 mg/dl (2.59 to 10.36 mmol/L) and will display a number value for results in this range.
