About this item

Sklar Black™ Babcock Forceps are finger ring, ratcheted, non-perforating forceps used to grasp delicate tissue in laser procedures

Babcock Forceps are similar to Allis forceps; however, may be considered less traumatic due to their wider, rounded grasping surface. The jaws are circumferential and the tips are triangular and fenestrated with horizontal serrations. They are useful for grasping tube-shaped structures.

Sklar Black™ Laser instruments feature a non-reflective black polymer coating applied over the sandblasted instrument developed specifically for laser surgeries. This safe, durable coating reduces laser reflection to less than one-tenth of a percent, ensuring a safer surgical environment for patients and surgical staff.

They are used with intestinal and laparotomy procedures.

Certifications: All Sklar Black™ coated instruments comply with biological testing requirements for cytotoxicity, sensitization regulatory, and ISO 10993 requirements. They also comply with the Pre-Vacuum and Gravity Cycle Steam Sterilization Validation of ANSI/AAMI ST79. Sklar Black™ laser coatings are guaranteed for one year against manufacturing defects.
