Bio-Rad offers acrylamide, bis-acrylamide, and premixed acrylamide/bis-acrylamide
- Acrylamide is available as a powder or 40% solution
- Bis-acrylamide is available as a powder or 2% solution
- Premixed acrylamide/bis solutions are available as either 30% or 40% acrylamide with acrylamide:bis-acrylamide ratios of 19:1, 29:1 or 37.5:1
- Premixed acrylamide/bis powders are available with acrylamide:bis-acrylamide ratios of 19:1, 29:1 or 37.5:1
- TGX™ FastCast™ and TGX Stain-Free™ FactCast™ Kits (with acrylamide solutions and buffers) are available for 7.5%, 10%, or 12% acrylamide gels
TGX™ FastCast™ and TGX Stain-Free™ FactCast™ premixed acrylamide solutions and kits use Tris-glycine eXtended chemistry. Kits have a one year shelf life, and cast gels can be stored for up to a month. TGX™ Gels can separate proteins in only 20 minutes and have Laemmli-like separation characteristics when using a standard Tris/glycine/SDS running buffer system. Stain-free technology permits visualization of proteins in a gel or blot in less than 5 minutes with stain-free enabled imaging systems (Bio-Rad’s Gel Doc™ EZ, Gel Doc™ XR+, ChemiDoc™ MP, and ChemiDoc™ XRS+ Imaging Systems).
All are available as both powders and solutions.
