About this item
Thioredoxin was found in yeast, plants, mammals and bacteria. It is a protein with two redox-active half-cystine residues in exposed active center, having the following amino acid sequence: -Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys. The protein exists in reduced form (Trx-(SH)2) with a dithiol, or in an oxidized form (Trx-S2). The ThioFusion Expression System allows expression and purification of large amounts of heterologous protein from E. coli.
Recommended Starting Dilutions:Western Blotting: 10 ug/ml - 50 ug/mlNot tested in other applications. Optimal dilution / concentration should be determined by the end user.
