You searched for: Gas Generators
Gas generators are essential components in the process of gas chromatography, replacing compressed air with a gas of your choice, very often high-purity nitrogen, but also hydrogen or a vacuum. These systems are engineered to utilize pressure swing adsorption for the removal of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor. After the gas of choice is purified, the gas is filtered through high-efficiency coalescing prefilters and a 0.01µm membrane filter. Some models are sized to fit in small cabinets or beneath most work surfaces.

Zero Air Generator, 1.5 L/min, PerkinElmer
Supplier: PerkinElmer
The Zero and Ultra Zero Air Generators produce laboratory grade purified air for FID (flame ionization detectors) and other detectors. Designed with safety and convenience in mind, this system will generate purified and hydrocarbon free air from an existing in-house oil-free compressed air supply, eliminating the need for inconvenient high-pressure gas cylinders. Eliminating gas cylinders reduces annual operating costs associated with materials, labor, and down-time.

Hydrogenation Shaker Apparatus, Parr Instrument Company
Supplier: Parr Instrument
Materials to be treated in a Parr hydrogenator are sealed in a reaction bottle with a catalyst and connected to a hydrogen reservoir. Air is removed either by evacuating the bottle or by flushing with hydrogen. Pressure is then applied from the reservoir and the bottle is shaken vigorously to initiate the reaction. The bottle can be heated or cooled during this process, if necessary. After the reaction reaches the desired point, the shaker is stopped, the bottle vented and the product and catalyst are recovered.
