Deze SuperMix is een 2x geconcentreerde, gebruiksklare reactiecocktail voor realtime qPCR die alle componenten bevat behalve primers, probes en DNA templates. Het systeem overstijgt de multiplexbeperkingen van conventionele PCR-mengsels, waardoor zuivere amplificatie van maximale vijf targetsequenties in één buisje mogelijk is. Onderdrukking van ampliconen met een beperkt aantal kopieën door referentietargets met veel kopieën in de amplificatie is een veel voorkomend probleem bij multiplex-PCR. Hierdoor kan de schijnbare representatie en kwantificering van doelsequenties met een beperkt aantal kopieën worden vertekend of gemaskeerd. PerfeCTa® MultiPlex qPCR SuperMix geeft een dynamisch bereik en gevoeligheid aan multiplex-qPCR die vergelijkbaar zijn met die voor probe-analyses van enkelvoudig qPCR, zonder dat er beperkende of variabele primerconcentraties nodig zijn.
