Het Falcon® HTS 96-multiwell-insertsysteem is een insertplateau voor celculturen dat geschikt is voor handmatige en gerobotiseerde screening van verbindingen in assays op basis van cellen. Het systeem is getest op de mogelijkheid om een gedifferentieerde monolaag van Caco-2-, LLC-PK1- en MDCK-cellen te produceren, zodat het een ideaal plateau is voor onderzoeken naar in-vitrobiobeschikbaarheid en permeabiliteit. Dit voor automatisering geschikte plateau bestaat uit een 96-multiwells insertplaat op basis van een PET-membraan met een poriegrootte van 1,0 µm, een media-invoerbak en een deksel. Door het invoerschot van de invoerbak klotsen de media minder en neemt de kans op contaminatie af.

When applied as a gel it can be used to promote expression of cell-specific morphology and function. Collagen I is commonly used to culture endothelial cells, hepatocytes, muscle cells, and a variety of other cell types. The HC formulation of rat tail collagen I is used for three dimensional applications requiring a sturdy gel that provides a maximal 3D support matrix (guidelines are included with product).
