The sterile stainless steel Myringotomy blade is used in conjunction with the SF1 or SF13 Fine surgical handle in the treatment of 'Otitis media' or 'Glue ear'.
- Blade and handle made of stainless steel
- Blade is double egded so allowing for cutting movements in both directions
- Fits handles SF1, SF2, SF3, SF4, SF13 and SF23
The Myringotomy blade is used to make an incision in the tympanic membrane (ear drum) into which a 'grommet' can be placed to allow ventilation of the middle ear which has become blocked thus interfering with the patients ability to hear.
