Stains specifically designed for DNA in polyacrylamide gels.
- More sensitive for agarose gel applications
- Two to three times more sensitive for dsDNA over RNA
- Impenetrable to latex or nitrile gloves and cell membranes
Unlike the highly mutagenic ethidium bromide (EtBr), PAGE GelRed are non-toxic and non-mutagenic in bacterial AMES tests.
PAGE GelRed can be imaged using a 254 nm UV transilluminator with an ethidium bromide filter.
Certifications: CCR Title 22 for the management of hazardous waste.
