Roterende viscometers
Door digitaal het koppel te meten dat nodig is om ofwel een object in de vloeistof of de monstercup zelf te draaien, werken rotatieviscometers met een specifieke tijd. De volledig ondergedompelde cilindrische meetspindel levert nauwkeurige berekeningen van dynamische of schuifviscositeit. Het gebruik van de sterkere motoraandrijving, kenmerkend voor rotatieviscometers, is vooral nuttig bij het werken met extreem dikke vloeistoffen die niet door capillaire formaten stromen. De rotatieviscometer detecteert het koppel dat nodig is om een spindel met constante snelheid te draaien terwijl deze in de kleine monstervloeistof is ondergedompeld. Dynamische viscositeit is evenredig met dit gemeten koppel. De standaard RV is vrij gebruikelijk in de chemische en voedingsindustrie voor het testen van de viscositeit van niet-Newtoniaanse vloeistoffen. Gebruik eenvoudig de menuopties die op het LCD verschijnen voor vloeistofkwaliteitscontrole.
