Peristaltische pompen

Peristaltische pompen werken door een stuk flexibele slang samen te drukken en los te laten om de natuurlijke peristaltiek na te bootsen die in veel biologische systemen voorkomt. Ze gebruiken verdringingsprincipe om vloeistoffen pulserend te verplaatsen. Procedures blijven vrij van besmetting met deze systemen, aangezien het enige deel van de pomp dat de oplossing raakt het binnenste van de slang is. Bovendien kunnen de pompen zwaardere en agressievere vloeistoffen verwerken. De flexibele slang vereist weinig periodieke vervanging en onderhoud.
