Roerstaven
Lange, dunne roerstaven zijn essentieel laboratoriumgereedschap voor het mengen van chemicaliën en vloeistoffen voor reactiedoeleinden. Ze worden vervaardigd uit glas, met stalen kern of massief kunststof, en zijn chemisch bestendig, inert en niet-schurend. Roerstaven met een stalen kern zijn ideaal wanneer extra stijfheid nodig is en hebben een afgerond uiteinde, terwijl massieve kunststof staven een taps toelopende punt hebben. Roerstaven van borosilicaatglas hebben een lage thermische uitzettingscoëfficiënt en platte uiteinden.
