Voor de voorbereiding van toepassingen van de polymerasekettingreactie in realtime worden kleine segmenten DNA of RNA geïsoleerd en in PCR-platen geplaatst. Met gangbare well-matrices en ontwerpen met hoog of laag profiel die compatibel zijn met thermocyclers, vergemakkelijken de PCR-platen snelle segmentamplificatie wanneer handmatige verwerking niet gewenst is. Een alfanumeriek raster, gekleurde productie en het etiketteeroppervlak van skirted-stijlen zorgen te allen tijde voor een nauwkeurige monsteridentificatie.
