Sterke kleuringspotten houden objectglaasjes stevig op hun plaats voor het kleuren van celcomponenten, wat zorgt voor betere microscopische studies. De potten kunnen verschillende aantallen voorbereide glaasjes bevatten tijdens handmatige kleuringsprocedures. De glaasjes worden eenvoudig tussen de interne groeven geplaatst en het deksel sluit goed af om lekken en verdamping te voorkomen. Verkrijgbaar in diverse vormen en maten, zijn alle modellen vervaardigd uit optisch helder materiaal voor zichtbare procesvoltooiing.
