Buretten

Buretten zijn apparaten die doorgaans worden gebruikt in analytische en kwantitatieve chemietoepassingen voor het meten van vloeibare oplossingen of gassen. In tegenstelling tot een pipet, waarbij de afgeleverde monstervolume vaststaat, kan bij een buret de hoeveelheid worden aangepast, en daarom worden gegradueerde buretten veel gebruikt in titratie-experimenten. Bij vloeistofmetingen aan de onderkant van de meniscus bevindt de kraan die lekken voorkomt zich aan de onderkant van de verticale glazen buis, terwijl deze bij gasmodellen aan de bovenkant zit. Voor de meest nauwkeurige metingen zijn digitale opties beschikbaar.
