Stootpetten

Stootpetten (bump caps) worden gebruikt in situaties waar een veiligheidshelm normaal niet verplicht is, maar bescherming toch nuttig is wanneer werknemers hun hoofd kunnen stoten. Toepassingen zijn onder meer productie en onderhoud, assemblage van zware machines en apparatuur, voedings- en drankenindustrie, HVAC- en elektrisch werk, installaties en andere gebieden waar lage doorloophoogte een probleem kan zijn. Stootpetten hebben een harde schaal maar zijn dunner dan een traditionele helm, en ademender dan hun tegenhangers.
