The particles possess a size of 2,6 µm. Short diffusion paths within the porous layer of 0,35 µm enable ultra-fast separations and high peak capacities. The pressure remains moderate and separations can be performed on both HPLC and UHPLC devices.

XCORE columns are extremely robust and have longer lifetime than columns with sub-2 µm particles. In addition, the risk of blockings and associated pressure increases is much lower, which also leads to less downtime.
