Mounting medium, PERTEX®

PERTEX® is the original rapid drying medium for mounting and preserving of slide specimens. PERTEX® is proven not to affect the form, structure or colour of the mounted specimen, even after years of storage. A thin coating of PERTEX® is enough for the cover glass to adhere to a microscope slide.
- Xylene based medium, allows for immediate screening of slides
- Low viscosity enable it to flow easily and prevent the formation of air bubbles
- Neutral, colourless and has a refractive index close to that of glass at +20 °C
PERTEX® is soluble in xylene and most xylene substitutes, mounting from 99,9% ethanol is also possible.
