DSDM® convinces with highest selectivity and specificity, also for detection in culture yeast. It is mainly used as a liquid medium, but also by adding agar-agar as a solid medium. By selecting appropriate components, only the growth of super-attenuating yeast is promoted, while culture yeast is inhibited. An additional colour indicator helps to interpret the results by showing a colour change.
