Cette conception de particules présente une efficacité de colonne très élevée en raison des chemins de diffusion peu profonds dans l'enveloppe poreuse épaisse de 0,5 μm et de la petite taille globale des particules de 2,7 μm.
La phase stationnaire en triacontylsilane à coiffe terminale de la C30 fournit un conditionnement stable en phase inversée qui peut être utilisé pour les isomères structurels hydrophobes à longue chaîne tels que les vitamines et les lipides.
