HALO® HPLC and UHPLC columns are based on innovative fused-core particle technology. These particles are formed from a solid core and porous outer shell. HALO® 2,7 µm columns provide the efficiency and separation speed of sub 2 µm particles but at approximately half the back pressure for the same column length. This lower pressure means that HALO® columns can be used with conventional HPLC and LC-MS systems, as well as with UHPLC systems.
- Ultra-fast separations
- High resolution and high efficiency
- Narrow particle size distribution
- Lower backpressure than fully-porous HPLC columns
- UHPLC like separation using HPLC instruments
- Excellent ruggedness and reproducibility
Reversed phase columns such as the HALO® C18, C8, Phenyl-Hexyl and RP-Amide separate analytes based mostly on hydrophobic interactions. Polar molecules can be separated using the HILIC or Penta-HILIC phases in HILIC mode.
