Caspase inhibitor

Irreversible inhibitor of cathepsins B, L, and S, and likely cathepsin H, as well as cruzain and papain. Has been shown to inhibit effector, but not initator, caspases in vitro, and suppress some forms of apoptosis. Has been used in vivo.
