Les systèmes de photodocumentation permettent aux chercheurs de visualiser et de capturer des images de gels fluorescents et sont conçus pour l’imagerie en fluorescence. Ces systèmes comprennent un transilluminateur, un filtre, une caméra et des réglages de chambre noire grâce à une petite hotte ou des portes fermées. Les applications incluent la contamination des liquides, les études de microbiologie, les tests d’antibiotiques et les études d’hygiène. Les caméras haute résolution fournissent des photographies en noir et blanc ou en couleur, et les images peuvent être enregistrées sur une carte mémoire ou imprimées directement à partir de la plupart des unités.
