Nutrient pad sets for colony counting by the membrane filter method, specially designed for the Microsart e.motion dispenser. The traditional culture media for microorganisms is agar media. The media are available in two formats. Agar media in tubes are for pouring agar plates. The content of one tube is sufficient for two 90 mm or three 60 mm petri dishes.

Each set consists of a Ø 50 mm or Ø 47 mm pad, impregnated with nutrient media, packed dry and sterile in a Petri dish, with a membrane filter. After filtration of the sample the membrane is placed in the dish and incubated. More types available on request.

These ready to use ampoules are pre-sterilised and contain a membrane filter and pad. They have been specially designed for performing microbiological analyses on pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and drink, water and other liquids. To be used with Biosart® 100 Monitors. When stored in appropriate conditions (4 °C), the medium has a shelf life of up to 12 months (except for Endo). The formula ensures optimum colony growth on membranes and complies with international standards, including International Pharmacopoeias, DIN and ISO standards, American Standards for Water and Foods, mineral water regulations and recommendations for the food and drink industry.

A wide range of HYCON® Agar Strips are available specifically for RCS® Microbial Air Samplers. Each individual agar strip is welded into a re-sealable sleeve and 100% visually controlled, ensuring maximum safety in critical environments. HYCON® Agar Strips are used for monitoring of ambient air and compressed gases with the RCS® High Flow Touch Microbial Air Sampler and the RCS® Isolator. They are also applied with the RCS® Plus Ex Microbial Air Sampler for monitoring of explosion hazard areas.
