HPLC columns, Cogent TYPE-C Silica™
Product Details & Documents
Cogent TYPE-C Silica™ is HPLC grade silica with a silica hydride surface. Their unique stationary phase will adsorb and desorb solvents commonly used in mobile phases very differently from ordinary silica resulting in excellent benefits to the chromatographer. Excellent for normal phase chromatography and solvent drying is not needed.
- Totally inorganic
- Unbonded
- Carbon free
Since these columns have virtually no silanols remaining (less than 2%), they do not have a strong association with water and other solvents and will not have the expected hydration shell of other silica-based columns.
Excellent choice for normal phase and preparative chromatography because they produce a unique selectivity are extremely stable for long column life and can be used to retain some polar compounds. These columns have been used in aqueous normal phase and reversed phase HPLC as well.
Suitable for normal phase HPLC, no need to concern with the moisture content of the solvents.
