DNase I, ACF

Animal component-free DNase I for digestion of DNA.

Use Deoxyribonuclease I (DNase I), Animal Component-Free (ACF) for routine tissue dissociation, to minimise cell clumping, and eliminate DNA contaminants from dissociation medium. Obtained from cultures free of animal-derived materials and purified by chromatography, this endonuclease consists of a single glycosylated polypeptide chain with two disulfide bonds. It preferentially cleaves phosphodiester linkages adjacent to pyrimidine nucleotides in both single- and double-stranded DNA, yielding polynucleotides with 5'-phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl groups (Bernardi et al.). DNase I has been used for DNA digestion in human cells and tissues such as microglia (Klegeris and McGeer), cartilage (Dunham and Koch), colon (Fukushima and Fiocchi), epithelium (Fukushima and Fiocchi), liver (Vatakis et al.), lung (Fujino et al.), neural cells (Fuja et al.), and stem cells (Kusuma et al.).

Caution: Product Restrictions: (i) Customer shall not make products or any portion of them, in any way, shape or form, including as a component of another product available for the purpose of further resale or alter or remove the Product label and the Supplier’s mark of origin without express written permission of Supplier; and (ii) Customer is familiar with Supplier’s restrictions on the use of the Products and shall use the Products in compliance with such restrictions and the applicable Supplier Product Information sheet (collectively, the 'Product Restrictions').
