Serum-free supplement for the derivation and expansion of human skeletal muscle progenitor cells (myoblasts).

Support the serum-free culture of primary human skeletal muscle progenitor cells and human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)-derived myoblasts using MyoCult™-SF expansion 10X supplement (Human). Available either individually or as part of the MyoCult™-SF expansion supplement kit (Human), the supplement has a serum-free formulation and must be combined with a basal medium (DMEM with 1000 mg/l D-glucose; sold separately) to prepare MyoCult™-SF expansion medium. This medium is optimised for the derivation and expansion of human skeletal muscle progenitor cells in vitro. If using primary myoblasts, we recommend coating cultureware with MyoCult™-SF attachment substrate. For hPSC-derived myoblasts, use Corning® Matrigel® hESC-qualified matrix. Myoblasts cultured using MyoCult™-SF expansion medium are compatible with MyoCult™ differentiation kit (Human) and can be used for further differention into multinucleated myotubes.
