- Formulation:Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of PBS,1mM DTT,pH7.4. Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the Lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
- Tested applications:Bioassay
As a result of hemolysis, hemoglobin is found to accumulate in the kidney and is secreted in the urine. Haptoglobin captures, and combines with free plasma hemoglobin to allow hepatic recycling of heme iron and to prevent kidney damage. Haptoglobin also acts as an Antimicrobial; Antioxidant, has antibacterial activity and plays a role in modulating many aspects of the acute phase response.
