The COD system is controlled by a digital electronic temperature controller to a precision of 1 K. The heating up phase of the the samples to ~148 °C is achieved in less than 10 minutes.

There are two versions each available with a heating block for 8 or 20 tubes.

Manual version (M): The insert rack is handled manually in this version, which also includes 750 mm air condensers
Automatic version (A): This version includes a built-in motorised lift for the insert rack and a TZ controller for full automatic programming
