Specifications

  • Source:
    Baculovirus (Sf9 Insect cells)
  • Species:
    Mouse
  • Storage conditions:
Lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Sf9 although stable at room temperature for weeks, should be stored desiccated below −18 °C. Upon reconstitution VEGF-Sf9 should be stored at 4 °C between 2-7 days and for future use below −18 °C. For long term storage it is recommended to add carrier protein (0. 1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze/thaw cycles.
  • Biological activity:
The ED50 range, determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is 1-2 ng/ml, corresponding to specific activity of 1,000,000 Units/mg.
  • Protein synonyms:
    Vascular endothelial growth factor A
  • Protein/peptide name:
    VEGF-Sf9
  • Purity:
Greater than 95.0% as determined by RP-HPLC and analysis by SDS-PAGE
  • Solubility:
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-Sf9 in sterile H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
  • Formulation:
The protein was lyophilized from concentrated (1mg/ml) solution with no additives.
  • Tested applications:
    SDS-PAGE
