SMART Digest™ Chymotrypsin Kits are designed to provide a complimentary digestion option to the SMART Digest™ Trypsin Kits which incorporate trypsin functionality. The Chymotrypsin enzyme functionality allows digestion of proteins at different points of the amino acid chain compared to trypsin. This allows for different/additional structural information to be obtained when trying to characterise a protein. This option can also be used if a protein does not contain the specific point where trypsin cuts the protein chain.
