Das MEPS™-Produkt besteht aus zwei Komponenten, und zwar aus der MEPS™-Spritze und dem MEPS™-Kanüleneinsatz BIN (Barrel Insert and Needle Assembly). Für die Probenvorbereitung mit MEPS™ stehen folgende Sorbentien zur Verfügung: Umkehrphasen, Normalphasen, Mischmodus und Ionenaustauscher. Da die MEPS™-BINs für kleine Probenvolumen (bis unter 10 µl) verwendet werden können, eignen sie sich sehr gut für den Online-Einsatz im Rahmen von LC-MS-Analysen von Proben mit geringem Volumen.
