Adenosine 5′-diphosphate (ADP) is an adenine nucleotide involved in energy storage and nucleic acid metabolism via its conversion into ATP by ATP synthases. ADP affects platelet activation through its interaction with ADP receptors P2Y1, P2Y12 and P2X1. Upon its conversion to adenosine by ecto-ADPases, platelet activation is inhibited via adenosine receptors.

Glycine is a non-essential amino acid. Acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, particularly in brain stem and medulla. Shown to block NMDA-stimulated dopamine release in fetal mesencephalic cell cultures. Also reported to increase NMDA-receptor mediated synaptic potential in cortical neurons. It does not have a chiral center, so only amino acid with no asymmetric carbon. Therefore, it does not have a D- or L- isomer designation. This material is synthetic. It is the smallest of the 20 natural amino acids.
