2-Propanol (Isopropyl alcohol, Isopropanol, IPA) is a colorless solvent and is the simplest example of a secondary alcohol. It can dissolve a wide range of non-polar compounds and works well as a degreaser. Propanol-2 has a boiling point of 82 °C. Suitable for HPLC and spectrophotometry.
