Abbe refractometer

The Abbe laboratory refractometer is a bench-top instrument for high-precision measurements of an index of refraction.

It can be connected to a water bath for measuring at a controlled temperature and used for determining the refractive index of glass, plastic films. During operating this type of refractometer, the use of a cold light source is recommended. The instrument is equipped with a built-in thermometer and water connection to control fluid temperatures.

This Abbe refractometer has scales for measurement of sugar concentrations and refractive indices.

The use of a cold light source like the LE.5209 is recommended for this type of refractometer.
