3M™ Protective Coverall 4520
3M™ Protective Coverall 4520 has been engineered to offer multiple layers of SMMMS for effective hold out and strength at a lightweight 43 gsm. Superbly breathable and soft, with a cloth-like feel, it can be worn for extended periods comfortably and protects against static discharge, hazardous particulates and liquid splash Type 5/6. It meets a variety of standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 1149 antistatic protection, EN 1073-2 nuclear particulate resistance, EN ISO 13688 and EN 13034 Type 6 liquid splash and EN ISO 13892-1 Type 5 dust. Easily identifiable by a green triangle made of the same 43 gsm SMMMS, this coverall has been engineered to reduce weight and retain performance through the addition of multiple layers. It is made with SMMMS, inner and outer layers of spunbond surrounding three layers of meltblown material. The spunbond provides smooth strength and splash protection, while the meltblown layers provide an intricate multilayered web of microfibers that filter out dry particulates. Soft, breathable and very lightweight, the nonwoven material allows for easier release of body heat and moisture, giving extended comfort for increased productivity in the workplace. Antistatic performance to EN 1149 minimizes discharge and the risk of sparks and ignition. 3M Protective Coverall 4520 is favored for particulate-based applications such as pharmaceutical processing and the handling of toxic powders.
3M™ Protective Coverall 4565 has desirable comfort features and provides a strong barrier to certain chemicals, liquid sprays and particles. It is non-microporous to offer chemical protection with permeation-tested resistance. Wear 3M Protective Coverall 4565 for a superior barrier to hazardous particles, limited liquid splashes and sprays to Type 4. The fresh white coverall has recognizable red-taped seams and meets a variety of standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 14126 infective agents, EN 1073-2 nuclear particulate resistance, EN 1149 antistatic protection, EN ISO 13688 and EN 13034 Type 6 liquid splash, EN ISO 13982-1 Type 5 dust and EN 14605 Type 4 liquid spray. Taped seams reduce skin exposure points through tearing and reduce risk of inward leakage by chemicals or particles. The coverall also offers EN1073-2 TIL Class 2 particulate radioactive contamination protection, meaning it has very good particle hold out as well as liquid spray resistance. It is made with a non-microporous PE laminate that offers chemical protection with permeation-tested resistance against certain chemicals. Knitted cuffs and elasticated waist and ankles provide comfort and increase freedom of movement, while the ultra-low-linting material reduces environmental contamination. This coverall also has an anti-static treatment meeting EN 1149, which reduces static discharge and the risk of spark and ignition. 3M Protective Coverall 4565 coverall offers peace of mind about security and safety when worn, making it an essential addition to a workforce’s resources.
