Sie eignen sich ideal zum schnellen Aufheizen und Kühlen von Mikroröhrchen und sind sehr effektiv bei der DNA-Probenvorbereitung für die denaturierende Elektrophorese. Sie sind in drei Ausführungen erhältlich: Das PCH-1 nimmt bis zu 32 Mikroröhrchen in einer Kombination aus zwei Größen auf (12× 1,5 ml plus 20× 0,5 ml), das PCH-2 hat ein Fassungsvermögen für bis zu 20× 1,5-ml-Mikroröhrchen und das PCH-3 kann bis zu 20× 2-ml-Mikroröhrchen aufnehmen.
