Salzhaltige Pufferlösungen eignen sich zudem zur Kalibrierung und Standardisierung von pH-Metern für präzise Messwerte. Blockierende Substanzen verhindern die Bindung von Antikörpern an freie Membranstellen, wodurch ein störender Hintergrund entstehen würde. Die Pufferlösungen sind in verschiedenen Konzentrationen, sowohl flüssig als auch dehydriert, erhältlich und decken somit jeden Bedarf ab.
